 | The annual SALTY (Syracuse Area Live Theatre Youth) Awards celebrate and honor the work of students and educators in the performing arts.
All Onondaga County high school productions and community theatre shows that feature students 18 and younger are eligible to compete in a range of categories including musical theatre and drama.
Winners are determined by the SALTY Academy, composed of students, adult educators and parents, and community members involved in the performing arts. The winners are announced in mid-May at the annual SALTY Awards Ceremony, showcasing the live performances of participating schools.
In 2007, more than 175 youth and high school students (as well as their school theater advisors) attended this standing-room only, two-hour event.
