This year, Syracuse’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade actually takes place on Saturday, March 17. The procession of dancers, bands, pipers, floats, dogs and others begins at noon, where marchers convene at Clinton Square’s intersection with South Salina Street and disperse once they pass the judges near the intersection with West Onondaga Street. The parade ends at about 3 p.m. (More information can be found at ) Numerous other St. Patrick’s Day-themed events take place in CNY throughout March. Camp Fair Brings The Fun

A new venue gave Family Times’ Summer Fun and Camp Fair a fresh look, more space and the opportunity to bring different kinds of exhibitors to the eighth annual event. At the State Fairgrounds’ Horticulture Building on Saturday, March 31, visitors got to check out tables filled with summer-program information from stalwart exhibitors such as Syracuse Children’s Theatre and the Jewish Community Center of Syracuse. But they also got to experience a greater variety of displays, such as the two bounce houses, the mobile display from Go Mining Today, and a truck trailer for Games on a Roll that brings video games for groups to your home. The festive atmosphere was enhanced by cupcakes (from ICJ Cookies in Syracuse) passed out in honor of Family Times’ 10th anniversary.
